He rejects the concept of nationality based solely on citizenship, instead defining it as an ethnic identity. When asked whether he considers himself racist, Orwoll offered a nuanced answer, stating that the term depends on how one defines racism. He claimed that his group does not hate others, but rather seeks to uphold what he sees as a threatened European culture. Orwoll identifies as a white nationalist and has hosted discussions on platforms such as YouTube, where he promotes conspiracy theories related to the supposed threat to White populations. These include narratives about "white genocide," suggesting that immigration and cultural indoctrination pose existential risks to Europeans. He frequently engages with far-right figures such as Nick Fuentes, known for their extremist views. Local residents near the community have reacted with concern and disbelief. Teresa Galloway, a neighbor whose farm borders the Return to the Land property, refers to Orwoll as a Nazi seeking to establish an "Aryan nation." She moved to Arkansas over two decades ago and has watched the situation unfold with growing unease. Her perspective reflects the broader apprehension felt by many in the surrounding area regarding the rise of such exclusive communities. Efforts are underway in other states to address the potential spread of similar groups. In Pennsylvania, Democratic lawmakers are pushing for legislation aimed at preventing or complicating the establishment of white-only enclaves like Return to the Land.
