Oyo APC gov candidate donates N25m to market fire victims

In Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo State, a fire at Bode Market damaged numerous shops and goods, particularly affecting the herbal section. Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Sharafadeen Alli, visited the site and donated N25 million to affected traders. He emphasized the need for empathetic and responsive leadership. Earlier, another APC candidate, Bimbo Adekanmbi, had contributed N2.5 million, and the APC Women Leader, Adekemi Opatunde, added N5 million and 15,000 nose masks. Traders praised the gestures as timely and supportive. Similar incidents occurred previously, including a fire at Oranyan Market in September 2024 that destroyed over 40 shops.
