Planes for enjoying Spring outdoors in Buenos Aires among flowers, gardens and dreamy views in the city The arrival of spring transforms the pace of Buenos Aires. With longer days and rising temperatures, plazas, gardens, terraces and food venues regain prominence as gathering spots for enjoying time with friends, family or partners. On September 21, Argentina celebrates its traditional Day of Spring, inviting people to spend hours outside their homes. La Nación has selected nine locations and proposals for celebrating the arrival of this season of love and flowers outdoors. Rooftop Florida 165 offers a unique perspective of Buenos Aires from its rooftop terrace located within the historic Galería Güemes on Florida 165. The space provides panoramic views of some of the city’s most iconic domes. Situated on the sixth floor of the building, the venue is close to the residence where Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, author of The Little Prince, lived during part of his stay in Buenos Aires. During warmer evenings, the terrace becomes an option for drinks, meals and watching how the cityscape changes at sunset. It opens from 4 pm to 1 pm Monday to Thursday and 4 pm to 3 pm Friday and Saturday. The Rosedal de Palermo stands out as one of the most associated scenes with Buenos Aires' springtime. Located within the Parque 3 de Febrero, the garden features thousands of roses that turn the walk into one of the city's most colorful spots. Its nearly four hectares include other attractions such as the Greek Bridge, the amphitheater, the Andalusian Courtyard and the Garden of Poets. Access to the Rosedal is free and open to the public on Avenida Presidente Pedro Montt. However, it may remain closed due to safety reasons in case of rain, drizzle or strong winds. The Planetario Galileo Galilei prepares a special celebration for welcoming the new season. On September 21, from 2 pm to 6 pm, its plaza and park will host Primavera Planetaria, a free event combining music and scientific outreach. Starting at 2 pm, Vinilos en la Vereda will bring vinyl records to different public spaces using its signature Kombi DJ Truck, featuring genres like funk, soul, cumbia and rock. At 3 pm, Dr. Estefanía Coluccio Leskow will give a talk titled Del Big Bang a la Primavera Cósmica. From 4 pm onwards, visitors can participate in a safe solar observation using a solar box, on a first-come basis. The event requires no prior registration and is open to all. The Japanese Garden is another option for those wanting to take a break from the city’s hustle without leaving Palermo. Its paths, bridges, vegetation and water mirrors create an especially attractive environment for walking.
