Laser Airlines has resumed international flights to Bogotá, Madrid, and Santo Domingo from Anzoátegui, Venezuela, operating temporarily from the Aeropuerto Internacional General José Antonio Anzoátegui in Barcelona, Aragua state. The decision follows measures taken to maintain air connectivity after the temporary closure of the Aeropuerto Internacional Simón Bolívar in Maiquetía. The airline announced the resumption of its operations on July 8, following the completion of inspections of aircraft that had been stationed in Maiquetía after a double earthquake affecting La Guaira state. The operation was coordinated with aviation authorities to establish an alternative route ensuring continuity of international services to Europe, the Caribbean, and South America. For the flight route between Venezuela and Colombia, flights to Bogotá will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Departures from Barcelona are scheduled for 9:00 a.m., arriving in Bogotá at 10:00 a.m. Return flights will depart Bogotá at 11:30 a.m. and land in Barcelona at 2:30 p.m. For the connection with Madrid, flights will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. From the Spanish capital, flights will take off at 10:55 a.m. and arrive in Barcelona at 2:10 p.m. Return journeys will depart Madrid at 5:00 p.m. and arrive back in Madrid at 8:35 a.m. the following day. The route to Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, operates on Wednesdays and Sundays, with departures from Barcelona at 10:00 a.m. and return flights from Santo Domingo landing at 1:20 p.m. Laser Airlines advised passengers to consult travel agencies or their official customer service channels for possible updates regarding this temporary operation, which is being implemented while activities at Maiquetía airport resume to normal levels.
