These locations account for 57.2 percent of the international student population. Despite the decline in UK-based international enrollments, these overseas campuses continue to provide education to tens of thousands of students globally. Mark Taylor, chairman of the ISC, emphasized the importance of independent schools within the UK's educational framework. He highlighted the diverse backgrounds of students enrolled in these institutions, noting that over 40 percent come from minority ethnic communities. Taylor underscored the continued appeal of UK private schools to families around the world, despite the recent challenges. He pointed out that while the number of international students in the UK has decreased, the presence of overseas campuses reinforces the global influence of British independent education.
