S obzirom na rekord vlade, izvješće panela predvođenog Nandanom Nilekanijem također će skupljati prašinu: Kongres

Indijski Kongres kritizirao je prošle performanse vlade u provedbi preporuka prethodnih odbora s ciljem reforme indijskog ispitnog sustava. Glavni tajnik Kongresa Jairam Ramesh optužio je administraciju premijera Narendre Modija da obmanjuje javnost tvrdeći da će slijediti preporuke Odbora Radhakrishnan, dok nije uspio provesti 27 od 101 predložene promjene.

Congress leaders criticized the government’s past performance in executing recommendations from previous committees, warning that the newly announced Nandan Nilekani-led task force might similarly fail to produce meaningful change. The criticism came as Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a high-powered six-member task force on July 26, 2026, tasked with recommending reforms to ensure the integrity of India’s examination system. The move follows mounting public frustration over repeated allegations of exam leaks and administrative mismanagement. Jairam Ramesh, the Congress general secretary responsible for communications, expressed skepticism about the new initiative, citing the government’s poor track record in implementing prior recommendations. He pointed to the Radhakrishnan Committee, which was established to suggest improvements to the examination system. This committee submitted 101 recommendations—60 for immediate action, 30 for medium-term implementation, and six directed specifically at the government. According to Ramesh, only 74 of these recommendations had been acted upon, leaving 27 unimplemented. “This demonstrates a lack of political will and sincerity,” he stated during a social media post. Ramesh further accused the Modi administration of misleading the public. He cited former Minister Pradhan’s announcement in December 2024 that the National Testing Agency (NTA) would cease conducting recruitment exams in accordance with the Radhakrishnan Committee’s suggestions. However, the NTA proceeded to hold multiple recruitment exams in both 2025 and 2026, contradicting the minister’s claim. Additionally, Ramesh highlighted that the NTA did not appoint a full-time Director General for nearly two years, from late 2024 to early 2026, despite ongoing concerns about exam security and transparency. The period coincided with a series of paper leaks that sparked widespread outrage among students and educators. These incidents raised serious questions about the effectiveness of existing oversight mechanisms. Despite calls for reform, the government failed to address systemic issues, leading to growing public distrust. Ramesh argued that the current administration’s reluctance to act on past recommendations suggests a pattern of neglect rather than genuine commitment to institutional reform. In response to these criticisms, the government has yet to issue a formal statement addressing the concerns raised by the Congress. However, the formation of the Nilekani-led task force signals an attempt to tackle long-standing challenges within the education sector. The panel includes prominent figures such as Nandan Nilekani, who is known for his expertise in technology and governance, alongside other experts in education and policy. Their mandate is to develop comprehensive measures aimed at preventing exam leaks and improving the overall efficiency of the testing process. While the new task force represents a step toward addressing public grievances, its success will depend largely on the government’s willingness to implement its findings. The Congress’s warnings highlight a broader concern about the politicization of bureaucratic processes and the prioritization of symbolic gestures over substantive reform. As the task force begins its work, the nation watches closely to see whether this initiative marks a turning point or another instance of unfulfilled promises.

Procjena pristranosti (Progresivno): U članku se navodi da su vladine akcije politički motivirane i da im nedostaje iskrenost, koristeći izraze kao što su "namjerno obmanuti" i "bez političke volje".

Zašto činjenice (0): This article discusses a completely unrelated topic—the implementation of examination system reforms and the Nandan Nilekani task force—not related to the pellet gun usage during the CJP-led protest. It lacks any reference to the primary source document or the specific events described therein.

Zašto objektivnost (0): The tone is highly partisan, criticizing the government and implying deliberate misrepresentation. There is no neutrality or balance in the reporting.
