The incident occurred as Benedetta Scuderi, a member of the Green-European group, sought to enter her office in the Belgian capital. According to reports, she was blocked by police officers who then physically restrained her and moved her away from the area. Scuderi later posted footage of the encounter on her Facebook page, which quickly went viral. She described being told she could not walk along a public street and claimed she had been grabbed and moved despite other individuals walking nearby.
