Ukrainian media cited reports that Russia used guided bombs to strike the city, damaging two five-story buildings, though the extent of destruction was not fully detailed. Zaporizhia, the main city of the eponymous region, lies approximately 20 kilometers from the front lines. In response to the attack, Ukraine launched more than 400 drones toward Moscow’s region during the night, according to the mayor of the Russian capital. The mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, stated on Telegram that “between 20 and 5 in the morning, over 400 enemy drones approached the Moscow region.” He added that most of them were destroyed before reaching the city, with 85 drones neutralized while still far from Moscow. Emergency services in Domodedovo, a southern suburb of Moscow, reported six individuals injured by explosions, ranging from minor to severe injuries, and transported to a hospital there. The hospital did not specify whether these injuries were linked directly to the drone attacks. Domodedovo is one of Moscow’s international airports. Regional governor Andrey Vorobyev confirmed damage to infrastructure in Domodedovo, Podolsk, and Odintsovo, noting private homes and civilian facilities affected by the drone strikes. He mentioned that one person was injured in Domodedovo due to a fire in a private house, and another was hurt near the M-4 motorway, where a drone crashed close to a vehicle. However, he did not clarify whether these casualties were among the six already reported.
