After scanning boarding passes, airline staff discovered that Roxie did not meet the entry requirements for Egypt. Despite having a valid passport, which remained valid until January 2027, Egyptian authorities require foreign visitors to have passports valid for at least six months beyond their intended stay. This rule, unknown to Victoria, effectively ended the family’s trip before it began. “I felt like someone had punched me in the stomach,” Victoria recalled. “The kids collapsed, and I started crying.” She described pleading with airport staff for help, but they were unable to assist.
