Similarly, Elke Urbain, a 50-year-old Belgian tourist, described the emotional toll of having to abandon her vacation plans, though she expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by emergency responders. In Spain, progress against a major wildfire south of Madrid enabled most residents of the affected communities to return home.
