The General Index rose by 10.16% compared to last Friday, moving from 3,677.436 to 4,051.253 Argentine pesos. Meanwhile, the Steer Index increased by 5.36%, rising from 4,312.579 to 4,543.981 pesos per kilogram. Steers accounted for 16.33% of the total sales, with 951 heads sold. Notable prices included 4,800 pesos for four lots weighing between 432 to 541 kilograms, 4,770 pesos for a 549-kilogram lot, and 4,750 pesos for four lots ranging from 469 to 495 kilograms. For the best cows, prices reached 4,100 pesos for a 442-kilogram lot, 3,720 pesos for a 480-kilogram lot, and 3,600 pesos for two lots weighing 501 and 534 kilograms respectively. For lighter lots, the highest prices were recorded for steers under 500 kilograms. Prices reached 5,400 pesos for four lots weighing between 303 to 354 kilograms, 5,300 pesos for a 354-kilogram lot, and 5,100 pesos for two lots weighing 393 and 403 kilograms. For heifers, the top prices were 5,450 pesos for a 283-kilogram lot, 4,920 pesos for a 352-kilogram lot, and 4,570 pesos for two lots weighing 401 and 410 kilograms. The overall General Index of the Cañuelas Agricultural Market stood at 4,051.253 pesos, while the average weight of all animals was 425 kilograms. The Steer Index for the market reached 4,543.981 pesos, and the average daily market price was 4,543.988 pesos. The suggested rental value came to 4,558.719 pesos. In terms of sales breakdown, there were 951 steers, 1,236 young steers, 1,763 heifers, 1,415 cows, 268 breeding females, and 190 bulls. All figures are based on a standard of 12 heads. Several companies participated in the sale. Álzaga Unzué y Cía. SA sold 50 heads, including one weighing 339 kilograms for 5,250 pesos and another 329 kilograms for 5,400 pesos. Asoc. de Coop. Argentinas sold 115 heads, with one weighing 393 kilograms for 5,100 pesos and another 373 kilograms for 5,150 pesos. Blanco Daniel y Cía. SA sold 356 heads, including one weighing 354 kilograms for 5,300 pesos and another 554 kilograms for 3,350 pesos. Other participants included Campos y Ganados SA, which sold 201 heads, and Casa Usandizaga SA, which sold 138 heads. Colombo y Colombo SA and Colombo y Magliano SA each sold over 100 heads, with varying weights and prices. Consignataria Blanes SRL and Consignataria Melicurá SA also participated, selling smaller numbers of animals. Crespo y Rodríguez SA and Dotras, Ganly SRL contributed additional sales, with different weights and prices. Ferias Agroazul SA and Gananor Pujol SA also took part in the auction.
