Bogotá has launched a new job recruitment campaign offering 1,082 positions across various professional profiles, aimed at connecting employers with job seekers. The initiative, organized by the District Secretary of Economic Development (SDDE) through its strategy Talento Capital and the District Employment Agency, will run until August 1, 2026. The call for applications includes opportunities for individuals with different educational backgrounds, experience levels, and occupational categories. The job openings span multiple sectors such as health, commerce, logistics, industry, manufacturing, technology, services, construction, and transportation. Positions range from entry-level roles to specialized jobs requiring higher education or technical training. Among the available vacancies, 326 are designated for people with disabilities, 293 for young adults aged 18 to 28, 156 for those over 50 years old, and 130 for first-time job seekers without prior work experience. Additionally, 272 positions are tailored for candidates with technical, technological, professional, or postgraduate qualifications. The SDDE emphasized that this initiative aims to bridge the gap between businesses seeking skilled workers and citizens looking for employment, promoting a more inclusive labor market. María del Pilar López Uribe, the District Secretary of Economic Development, stated that the campaign seeks to expand access to the labor market for individuals starting their careers, those with existing experience, and those aiming to advance within their professions. Candidates interested in applying must update or register their resumes on the public employment service platform and apply for positions matching their profile. The application process is entirely online. Those who need assistance during the process can visit the District Employment Agency located at Calle 13 #27-00, Local 12, where they can receive guidance on resume preparation, strengthening their occupational profile, and developing skills for selection processes. If a candidate’s profile aligns with one of the available positions, their resume will be directly sent to participating companies. According to the agency, there is high demand for personnel with medium-level education, bachelor's degrees, and university qualifications. However, the campaign also includes opportunities for individuals without specific academic credentials, aiming to broaden formal employment access for diverse groups in Bogotá. The job offerings include roles such as lawyers, administrators, financial analysts, commercial advisors, administrative assistants, nursing aides, medical specialists, nurses, salespeople, commercial consultants, bus drivers, electromechanical technicians, machine programmers, support engineers, information technology specialists, and optometry professionals, among others. This recruitment effort reflects Bogotá’s ongoing commitment to fostering economic growth and improving employment conditions for its residents. As the deadline approaches, the city continues to emphasize inclusivity and diversity in its workforce initiatives.
