A hot-mic recording captured Defence Secretary Wes Streeting jokingly referring to Justice Secretary Alex Norris as “the enemy” and suggesting he “wants to let them all out.” Streeting later apologized, clarifying that the comment was meant as a lighthearted reference to a past political jest rather than an endorsement of the policy.
