BABosnia and Herzegovina has opened its first honorary consulate in Southeast Asia in Singapore. The honorary consul is Daniel Cheah, a Singaporean businessman. During the ceremony, both countries emphasized their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in diplomacy, trade, culture, and interpersonal relations. The event was attended by representatives of the Singapore government, members of the diplomatic corps, and members of the Bosnian community. Low Hon Mun, Director-General for Europe at Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed hope that the new consulate would deepen cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest. Armin Limo, non-resident ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina, described the opening as a significant turning point in bilateral relations and highlighted the potential for improved economic cooperation. He also praised the Bosnian community in Singapore, calling them true ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and specifically mentioned Professor Emir Hrnjić from the National University of Singapore.
