The bank has maintained its long-term and short-term credit ratings with Fitch Ratings, which placed them at “AAA(mex)” and “F1+(mex)” with a stable outlook. This rating underscores the institution’s strategic role as the sole channel for distributing funds under Mexico’s Programs for Wellbeing. The bank emphasized its commitment to advancing financial inclusion and banking services among vulnerable populations. The Banco del Bienestar continues to play a vital role in the national financial system, particularly through its involvement in government welfare programs. It has expressed its intention to maintain its contributions to financial inclusion and the expansion of banking access for underserved communities. As the economic landscape evolves, the bank will likely continue to adjust its operations to meet changing demands and regulatory expectations. Its recent performance highlights both challenges and opportunities within the broader context of Mexico’s financial sector.
