The victim is a member of the German-Israeli Society (DIG), whose local branch in Würzburg posted on Instagram expressing solidarity with its injured member. Volker Beck, president of the DIG, stated that thoughts were with the victim and his family and friends, and called for “swift and severe punishment” of the perpetrator. Annette Seidel-Arpacı, director of the RIAS Bavaria reporting center for antisemitic incidents, commented that the attack highlights the “antisemitic emboldenment of recent years.” She urged consistent action against antisemitic calls and offenses. Marlene Schönberger, responsible for combating antisemitism within the Greens' Bundestag faction, expressed solidarity with the victim and noted how the incident demonstrates how an antisemitic and anti-Israel climate can lead to unchecked violence. Clara Bünger, spokesperson for the Left Party on internal politics, condemned the attack as “unjustifiable,” emphasizing that such violence has no justification.
