For the 15th time, among friends on a bicycle

A radio station has announced its annual tradition of traveling across Slovenia to meet listeners, marking its fifteenth such journey. The event, known as “Od Marije k Mariji,” will take place over three days, beginning on Sunday, September 6th, and concluding on Tuesday, September 8th. The route includes towns such as Bovec, Kobarid, Tolmin, Most na Soči, Kanal, Nova Gorica, Šempeter pri Gorici, Miren, Bukovica, and Dornberk, with stops planned at several locations including churches, homes for the elderly, and community centers. The trip begins in Bovec, where the group will start their journey with a blessing from the local parish priest. They will travel through Kobarid, Tolmin, Most na Soči, and Kanal, stopping at each location for meetings with listeners. In Kobarid, the group will gather after morning Mass, while in Tolmin they will hold a liturgy and meeting at 2 p.m. At Most na Soči, the gathering is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., followed by a similar stop in Kanal at 7 p.m. On Monday, the group moves to Nova Gorica, where they will attend a mass at 7 a.m. They will continue to Šempeter pri Gorici, where a meeting is planned at noon, and later visit Miren at 2:30 p.m. Stops in Bukovica and Gradišče nad Prvačino are set for 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., respectively, before ending the day in Dornberk at 7 p.m. Tuesday’s itinerary starts in Branik, where the group will meet at 9 a.m., followed by a stop in Komen at the Devica Marija on Obršljan, where a midday Mass is scheduled. The event concludes with a final gathering at the church in Komen, where a priest named Msgr. Peter Štumpf will deliver the Mass. Throughout the journey, the radio team plans to host brief meetings called “Mini srečanja Prijateljev Radia Ognjišče.” These gatherings aim to foster closer connections between the radio staff and their listeners, offering opportunities for personal interaction and appreciation for the support received over the years. Additionally, the team will present a small gift, a book titled Drobne zgodbe o prijateljstvu, which shares stories highlighting the importance of friendship. The event is part of a long-standing tradition that began many years ago, reflecting the deep connection between the radio station and its audience. Listeners have been supporting the station for decades, and this annual journey serves as a meaningful way to maintain that bond. The radio team emphasizes that they are not just broadcasting stations but people who share a common interest in connecting with their community. The schedule includes specific times for each stop, ensuring that both the radio team and listeners can plan accordingly.
