The closure affects traffic flow in both directions, with emergency services working to clear the site. The incident occurred early on Monday, causing delays and prompting authorities to issue alerts to drivers. Traffic disruptions have spread across multiple highways in Slovenia. On the Primorska motorway, congestion was reported between Vrhnik and Logatec towards Koper, and between Ravbar Komando and Uč in the direction of Ljubljana. Similarly, on the Štajerska motorway, delays were noted between Dramlje and the Pletovarje tunnel towards Maribor, and between Slovenske Konjice and the Golo Rebro tunnel towards Ljubljana. Zastoji were also recorded between Lukovica and Domže in the direction of Ljubljana. Further bottlenecks were observed on the Dolenjska motorway, particularly between Biče and Ivančna Gorica towards Ljubljana, and between Grosuplj and Šmarje Sapa towards Ljubljana. On the Gorenjska motorway, traffic slowed down between Brnik and Šmart in the direction of Ljubljana, and near the Karavanke tunnel towards Austria, where truck traffic was halted for two kilometers. Additionally, there was a blockage on the Gorenjska motorway between the Jesenice rest area and the Jesenice East exit towards Ljubljana. Other sections of Slovenian roads have also faced temporary closures. On the Vipava fast track, entry into the Ajdovščina direction towards Vrtojba was restricted. A revised traffic regime was implemented between Vipava and Razdrto in both directions. In addition, the Grgelj-Fara section of the road near Fara was fully closed until August 31, while the Zagorje-Most bridge over the Savinja River was shut down completely until September 20. From July to August, daily restrictions were enforced on the Lokve-Čepovan route near Čepovan. Authorities have advised motorists to plan their journeys accordingly and consider alternative routes. Public transport services have been adjusted to accommodate the changes, with some buses rerouted to bypass affected areas. Work on the Dolenjska motorway continues, with the Ivančna Gorica junction closed from Wednesday at 10 a.m. until approximately September 29. This includes the restriction of outbound traffic from Nova Gorica and inbound traffic toward Ljubljana.
