Prison on the Factory Road until August 9

Work on the Tovarniški cesti road section has been extended, with traffic closures set to last until August 9th instead of the originally planned July 24th. The work involves creating a new pedestrian walkway and cycling path along the stretch of the road from the junction on the bypass to the entry into the business area of Gobi. These improvements aim to increase safety for vulnerable road users. The project, which was initially scheduled to complete by mid-July, has faced delays due to the extended nature of the works. As a result, the motorway lane running from the city center toward the bypass will remain closed during this period. Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly, as the bypass will still be accessible around the business district of Gobi. Once the current phase of work concludes, the construction site will move to the right-hand side of the road near the Spar shopping center. Here, further adjustments to the pedestrian walkway and cycling path will take place. This second phase of the project is expected to continue through the end of September. In parallel, ongoing work continues at the intersection on the bypass. Two additional turning lanes have already been opened to traffic, easing congestion in the area. Current activities include the paving of the road surface leading towards the fast lane and toward the Hofer shopping center and the Mol fuel station. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to enhance infrastructure and improve mobility in the region. The changes reflect a commitment to long-term urban planning and transportation safety.
