12 years in prison for killing 27-year-old Filipino woman

A 32-year-old man named Mitja Kocjančič was sentenced to 12 years in prison for the murder of a 27-year-old woman from the Philippines in December 2024 on Lake Bled. The verdict is not yet final. The court acknowledged that the defendant was aware of his actions and their consequences. The court considered mitigating factors such as the defendant's lack of prior convictions, the reduced culpability due to diminished responsibility, and the victim's behavior contributing to the incident. The prosecution had recommended a 14-year sentence, while the defense requested an acquittal and mandatory心理
