Endiorass Kingley, a 24-year-old athlete from Linz, has described a perfect triple jump as akin to a work of art. His recent performance at the World Championships in Tokyo earned him enthusiastic applause from 80,000 spectators, which he credits with motivating him to perform at his best. Kingley, who transitioned to triple jumping in 2020, feels more comfortable on large stages than smaller ones. He emphasized the importance of crowd support, noting how the energy of a packed stadium can elevate his performance significantly. Kingley’s journey into triple jumping began in 2020, marking a new chapter in his athletic career. Despite starting relatively late, he quickly made an impact. During the 2025 World Championships, he achieved a personal best of 16.85 meters, surpassing the national record set in 1988. This remarkable leap placed him among the world's top athletes, earning him a spot in the Diamond League. The success was recognized by world champion Pedro Pichardo, who personally congratulated Kingley and expressed confidence in his future. The upcoming European Championships in Birmingham present another opportunity for Kingley to showcase his skills before a large audience. To reach the final, he needs a strong performance. Currently, his season best stands at 16.46 meters, which he finds somewhat modest compared to his previous achievement. “If you jumped 16.85 meters at the World Championships, then 16.46 seems small,” he remarked.
