Albania at a crossroads, with Trump's son-in-law threatening to blockade them?

Albania faces potential risks to its EU accession talks due to a controversial luxury resort project linked to Jared Kushner, Donald Trump's brother-in-law. The European Parliament has warned that if Albania does not abandon the $1.4 billion development on the island of Sazan and along the Zvërnec peninsula—within a protected wetland area—the country could face significant setbacks in its EU negotiations. The project has sparked widespread protests known as the 'Flamingo Revolution,' driven by concerns over environmental damage and corruption. European parliamentarians, including Dutch MEP Tineke Strik, have criticized the Albanian government for proceeding with construction despite violations of EU ecological standards and lack of transparency. Strik emphasized that continuing the project would undermine Albania’s EU aspirations, particularly in Chapter 27 related to environment and climate change. Public support for EU membership remains strong among Albanians, but the government faces growing pressure to address corruption and align with EU regulations.

Po njegovim riječima, vojni rok će "donijeti dobro svim muškarcima i mnogim djevojkama", jer će povećati odgovornost, ozbiljnost i promijeniti pristup životu.

Modernizacija i razvoj oružja

Reakcije i geopolitičke implikacije
