The incident occurred after he was stopped by police in December last year, during which they found the statue in his car, which had two different Croatian license plates. The sculpture, nearly ten meters tall, stands on Titus Square in Velenje. The accused, Miroslav Pačnik, posted about the event on social media, explaining his actions were motivated by a desire to honor those who unite people rather than glorify figures that cause fear and pain. In January, the city of Velenje filed a criminal complaint against him and requested compensation of over 11,200 euros for damages.
