Four individuals have been placed under formal investigation for kidnapping after they allegedly demanded that the victim hand over two minors, according to authorities in Mexico City. The case began with a report filed on March 9, 2026, by the victim’s partner, who had not heard from him since the previous day. The victim later returned home showing signs of physical abuse and recounted being kidnapped from his residence on March 8. He was taken to a store located in the Tepeyac Insurgentes neighborhood of Gustavo A. Madero, where he was threatened and beaten. From there, he was transported to his home in Cuautitlán Izcalli, State of Mexico, where he was forced to call his mother to deliver the two children of his partner, both under the age of majority. Finally, he was moved to another property in Lago de Guadalupe, within the same municipality, and was released on March 9. Authorities confirmed that the investigation was initiated following the initial report. The victim's account was corroborated through video footage obtained from the Citizen Assistance Center (C5), which coordinates emergency response efforts. Based on this evidence, prosecutors requested and received warrants for the arrest of the four suspects. These warrants were executed on July 23 by members of the investigative police force. Dulce “N” and Beatriz “N” were arrested in the Venustiano Carranza borough, while César “N” was detained in Gustavo A. Madero. Eduardo “N” was apprehended in Ecatepec de Morelos, State of Mexico, with assistance from the State Attorney’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM). The court hearing took place on July 29, during which the judge decided to formally charge all four individuals with the crime of aggravated kidnapping.
