Video of a huge column in front of a gas station in Russia is spreading.

A video shared by Ukrainian Telegram channels Exilenova+ and Supernova+ shows a multi-kilometer-long car queue at a gas station in the Zabaykalsky region of Russia. The footage was verified by Meduza and confirmed to have been filmed at a Rosneft gas station in Atamanovsky village, within the Chita district. According to Meduza’s assessment, the queue stretches approximately four kilometers and includes between 600 and 800 vehicles. Residents in the area, near the city of Chita, have been waiting hours at gas stations, with one driver reporting waiting 36 hours. The Russian authorities have implemented a heightened readiness regime due to a fuel crisis caused by Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian oil refineries. The gas station in the video receives fuel from the NK Neftegaz refinery in Khabarovsk, though Ukraine has not targeted this facility. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian 24 Channel reports that Russia claims the video was created using artificial intelligence, but satellite images show another stationary queue at a nearby gas station.
