A month after a collision involving Slovenia's President Nataša Pirc Musar, video footage from security cameras has been released showing the incident. According to preliminary investigation results, the accident was caused by failure to maintain a safe distance. The driver of the official Mercedes-Benz V300 vehicle, in which President Pirc Musar was traveling, did not keep the required distance and collided with the rear of an Audi driven by a 34-year-old escort officer. The police reported that the driver, a 52-year-old man, failed to maintain a safe distance, leading to the crash. The incident occurred on July 31st around 5 PM as President Pirc Musar returned from a vacation in Croatia and was heading to Komendi for a humanitarian event called Pogi Challenge. The president sustained a fracture of the main bone, classified as a minor injury, while one of her friends suffered serious injuries. The case has been referred to the Special State Prosecution Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
