VIDEO / Skopje: 15 people were injured

A strong storm with heavy rain and gusty winds hit Skopje on Tuesday, resulting in 15 injured people and significant material damage. Nine victims were taken to the Clinical Hospital Center 'Mother Teresa', while six were treated at the University Clinic for Surgery 'St. Naum Ohridski'. The most severely injured was an elderly woman who suffered head injuries after falling due to a fallen tree. Strong winds caused roofs to be blown off, trees to break, and buildings to collapse. Damage included the City General Hospital '8 September' and a primary school. Numerous cars were damaged by falling debris, traffic lights and signs were destroyed, and some neighborhoods temporarily lost power. Over 8,300 calls were received by the crisis management center related to the storm's effects. Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski reported that city services teams are removing the aftermath, main avenues are passable, and crews are clearing fallen trees.
