International summer school in Piran on the relationship between man and the sea

An international summer school titled 'Mokre sanje' (Wet Dreams) took place in Piran, organized by the University of Ljubljana, the University of Split, Austria's FH Joanneum college, and the PiNA association. The program challenges the misconception of humans being separate from the ocean and views the sea as a self-regulating system. The event brought together 21 participants from around the world. Founders emphasized the need for greater awareness of humanity's relationship with nature, noting that humans share DNA with the ocean and suffer the consequences of reckless behavior. Experts such as climatologist Lučka Kajfež Bogataj and marine microecologist Tinkara Tinta participated in lectures and workshops. The summer school aimed to foster interdisciplinary learning through excursions, workshops, and mentorship, concluding on July 10 with presentations of student projects.

Bias read (Center): The article discusses an educational initiative focused on environmental awareness and the relationship between humans and the ocean. While it touches on themes related to environmental policy and human responsibility, the content remains primarily descriptive and does not take a clear ideological立场
