The Slovenian company Plan-Net Avto has opened a showroom and service center for the Chinese automaker BAIC in Ljubljana. BAIC, short for Beijing Automotive Group Co., has been operating since 1958. The showroom offers various models, including crossover vehicles and more rugged SUVs, all available with gasoline or hybrid engines. The entry-level model is the X55, a sports SUV measuring 4.6 meters, equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 130 kW, a seven-speed automatic transmission, and priced at €30,000. Larger models like the X7 offer increased cargo space and slightly higher prices. Other models include the BJ 30, which is more robust and features electric assistance, and the larger BJ 40 Pro, which includes a stronger two-liter engine, four-wheel drive, and additional mechanical components. The showroom is located near another Plan-Net Avto dealership for the Hongqi brand and will also sell humanoid robots and drones.
