Six young foreign citizens were injured when part of the roof of a bunker collapsed near the fortress Punta Christo in Štrpci, near Pula, around 2 PM on Friday. The group, consisting of people in their early twenties, was inside the structure when the construction gave way. Some fell into the interior of the bunker from a height of approximately two meters. Four injured individuals were taken to the General Hospital in Pula, while two received medical care and were released for home treatment, and two remained in the hospital for further observation. Emergency medical teams arrived at the scene, and police are investigating the circumstances leading to the collapse. Punta Christo is an Austro-Hungarian military fortress from the 19th century, located in an area known for hosting concerts and festivals, as well as attracting visitors with nearby rocky beaches and bays.
