A shark was filmed in Montenegro. Some believe it's a white wolf. Biologists say otherwise.

A video was shared online showing a large white animal believed by the poster to be a white wolf, one of the largest and most dangerous species of sea lions. The footage reportedly came from near the entrance to Boka Kotorska in Montenegro. However, biologist Ilija Ćetković from Montenegro's Institute of Marine Biology stated that the animal is more likely a type of sea lion called 'mako' (long-flipper or short-flipper mako), which often resembles a white wolf in appearance. He noted that sightings of this species in the Adriatic Sea are common and not unusual. Earlier this year, a similar sighting was reported off the coast of Sicily at a depth of 40 meters, and another young individual of the same species was recently caught near Rogoznica.

Bias read (Center): The article presents both perspectives—public belief in the presence of a white wolf and the biologist's identification of a sea lion—without favoring either side. It provides balanced information based on expert opinion and public reaction, avoiding loaded language or one-sided sourcing.
