Two Austrian tourists' vehicles were broken into near a camp in Kobarid

In the vicinity of the campsite in Kobarid, two vehicles belonging to Austrian tourists were broken into. The first incident was reported around 17:04, with police investigating the theft of a wallet containing personal documents and 200 euros from an Austrian citizen. Less than an hour later, at 17:57, another break-in was reported nearby, involving a second vehicle. The suspect smashed the rear doors and stole a bag containing personal documents, other items, and a smaller amount of cash. The owners suffered approximately 3,000 euros in damages. Both incidents are being treated as criminal acts, and police continue gathering information to identify the perpetrator. The police are also examining a separate case of theft involving a larger sum of cash. This occurred on Sunday afternoon in Tolmin, where an unknown suspect entered a larger building on Dijaška Street and stole a significant amount of cash. The act resulted in physical harm to one individual and damage to one of the local business entities. The police have classified this as a criminal offense and are continuing their investigation to locate the perpetrator. Another incident took place on the outskirts of Godovič, where unidentified individuals broke into the premises of a commercial enterprise. They used machinery to gain access to the production hall and stole several coils of electrical cables. Police from the Idrija police station were alerted to the break-in at 08:08. The suspects initially gained entry to the secured courtyard before using work equipment to enter the hall. The company reportedly suffered thousands of euros in material damage. The police are still investigating the circumstances of the break-in and collecting further information. On Saturday morning near Vrtojb, a traffic accident occurred involving an Italian motorcyclist who sustained serious injuries. The collision happened around 09:36 on the regional road between Mirna and Šempeter, near the asphalt base of a road construction company. A 22-year-old car driver was traveling from Mirna towards Šempeter when she collided with an Italian motorcyclist who had slowed down due to a tractor ahead. The motorcyclist suffered severe spinal injuries. At the scene, police, firefighters, and rescue workers attended to the injured motorcyclist, who was transported to the Šempeter hospital. The incident has been reported to both the investigative judge and the district state prosecutor. Traffic police are still investigating the circumstances of the accident, suspecting negligence. Near Spodnja Idrija, a traffic accident occurred early Monday morning, resulting in injuries to a 55-year-old driver. The crash happened at 06:11 on the road between Želina and Spodnja Idrija. According to initial findings, a 28-year-old driver mistakenly entered the opposite lane and collided head-on with a car driven correctly by the 55-year-old driver. The latter sustained back injuries, while both vehicles sustained damage. Rescue teams transported the injured driver to the Idrija Health Center. Police confirmed that the 28-year-old driver had 0.50 grams of alcohol per liter in his exhaled breath. As a result of the violations, he will receive a payment notice and temporarily lose his driving license for 24 hours.
