UniAbuja law student wins W/African speech contest in Sierra Leone

A 500-level law student from the University of Abuja, Ms Amra Salihu, won the 9th Inter-Universities Speech Contest organized by the Intergovernmental Action Group Against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA). The competition took place in Freetown, Sierra Leone, on July 22. Salihu represented Nigeria after winning the national selection conducted by the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU), where she defeated participants from The Gambia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Ghana. She received a winner's plaque, a certificate of honor, and a $1,000 cash prize. Another law student, Abah Goodness, attended the event as an observer.
