Imotski in tears, beloved songwriter and reporter passed away at 56, just a month and a half after the death of his wife

The town of Imotski mourns the death of Mario Ćužić, a beloved journalist, photographer, and singer-songwriter who passed away at the age of 56. He was deeply connected to his hometown, often returning to it despite living elsewhere, and expressed this love through his music, including the song 'Imotski, moj grade.' His passing comes just over a month after the death of his wife, Inge Ćužić, who died earlier this year. Colleagues and friends remember him as a passionate professional, a man of great energy, and someone who cherished photography, travel, and the Croatian national football team. Despite personal tragedy, he remained optimistic and shared memories of their life together online, particularly recalling their trip to Moscow during the 2018 World Cup. His legacy includes his journalistic work, photographs, songs, and unwavering devotion to Imotski.
