The Russians on the brutal attack on Kiev: This is revenge for terrorism!

On the night of July 1st, Russia carried out a large-scale attack on Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, this operation was a response to alleged Ukrainian terrorist attacks targeting civilian infrastructure on Russian territory. The ministry stated that the strikes were aimed at military-industrial and energy sector facilities in Kyiv and surrounding areas, as well as military airfield infrastructure in several regions including Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Kyiv itself. The assault marked one of the most intense attacks in recent months. Ukrainian authorities reported at least 13 deaths and over 56 injuries. Multiple waves of cruise and ballistic missiles, along with drone attacks, struck Kyiv and other cities shortly after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russia was preparing another major aerial strike. Local officials confirmed that 32 injured individuals had been transported to hospitals. According to Ukrainian government reports, Russia fired dozens of cruise and ballistic missiles and conducted mass drone attacks across multiple regions. In Kyiv, residential buildings were destroyed, a central hotel sustained damage, and several high-rise buildings caught fire. By early morning local time, damage was recorded at at least 28 locations, primarily affecting residential structures and civilian infrastructure. Timur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv's city military administration, stated that the enemy was once again attacking residential neighborhoods and killing civilians. He described the destruction as severe, noting a significant number of casualties, including children. The attack began with strong explosions and anti-aircraft defense activity around 9:40 PM local time. Tkachenko quickly confirmed that anti-aircraft defenses were engaging Russian drones approaching the city. Ukrainian air forces warned that groups of drones were heading towards Kyiv, as well as toward Mykolaiv, Konotop, and Kherson. Approximately an hour later, new waves of drones were reported approaching the capital. Tkachenko warned that drones were attacking Kyiv from all directions and that there was a possibility of combined drone and projectile attacks in the coming days. Due to the alert, many residents spent the night in underground metro stations. The new phase of the attack began in the early hours of July 2nd when Kyiv started being targeted by ballistic missiles, some of which, according to Ukrainian authorities, included hypersonic missiles known as Cirkon. Tkachenko issued a warning about the danger of ballistic missiles at 12:45 AM, followed soon after by the Ukrainian Air Forces. Open-source tracking channels reported that Russia had launched up to ten strategic bombers into the air. Reporters on the ground described extremely powerful explosions just before two in the morning, audible even in deep shelters. According to Ukrainian authorities, the attack struck residential areas throughout Kyiv. Among the injured were both civilians and emergency service personnel. The central district, home to museums, universities, and residential buildings, suffered heavy damage. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, five medical workers were injured after the building housing an emergency services station was damaged. One nurse reportedly remains in critical condition. Tkachenko added that one residential building in the same district was completely destroyed. A multi-story residential building in Kyiv was directly hit by a Russian missile. Around a dozen Iskander and Tsirkon missiles were launched by the Russians at the Ukrainian capital within the last hour.

Ukraine has launched a massive drone strike.

Russia has carried out the most massive attack on Kiev

The article reports that Russia has launched the largest attack on Kyiv, indicating a significant military operation targeting the capital city. The headline suggests a major escalation in hostilities, though the article does not provide specific details about the scale, timing, or outcomes of the attack. As the information is brief and lacks contextual depth, it appears to be a concise update rather than a comprehensive analysis. The focus is on the event itself, with no additional commentary or background provided.

Bias read (Progressive): The framing of the attack as 'najmasovniji' (the largest) implies a narrative that emphasizes the severity and scale of Russian actions, which aligns with a left-leaning perspective that often highlights perceived aggression or conflict initiated by certain geopolitical actors.

Why these scores (Factual 50 · Objective 30): The article presents a highly charged claim about Russia conducting the 'most massive attack' on Kyiv without providing evidence or context. The phrasing suggests a strong narrative without verification, and the lack of nuance indicates bias.
