A fire broke out on Saturday afternoon on the high plateau of Vrdovo near Maglaj, close to the village of Sinj, and was extinguished by Sunday evening. The blaze consumed approximately 100 hectares of forest, grass, and low vegetation. Firefighters from two volunteer firefighting organizations, Hraca and Sinj, along with the public firefighting unit in Sinj, responded to the incident. A total of 12 firefighters arrived on-site with four vehicles, but due to the difficult terrain, two helicopters were also deployed. The fire was under control by around 18:00 and fully extinguished later that night. Two firefighters remained overnight to monitor the area and prevent re-ignition. No structures were damaged, and there were no reports of casualties.
