Turkish drones enter fleets across Arab states

An analysis by Forbes reveals that Turkish-made armed drones, such as the Bayraktar TB2, are being adopted or ordered by multiple Arab nations, expanding Turkey's influence in regional defense markets. Countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco have either purchased or are set to acquire these drones. Initially reliant on Chinese systems, Saudi Arabia and the UAE shifted towards Turkish drones as ties with Ankara strengthened. Saudi Arabia has licensed production of Turkish drones and ordered additional units, while Yemen's Houthis reportedly shot down a Saudi-operated Turkish drone. Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE have placed significant orders, and North African nations like Tunisia and Algeria have also integrated Turkish drones into their arsenals. In Libya, Turkish drones have been deployed by both factions, highlighting their growing strategic importance.
