The third edition of the Festa della Poesia, named after the Calabrian poet Lorenzo Calogero, will take place in the village of Melicuccà on the Aspromonte starting August 6th. The event aims to highlight Calogero’s significance in Italian and European literature and features international guests, theater performances, music, and discussions on poetry and visual arts. A new section of the 'Viale dei Canti' will be expanded with works by Giuseppe Fantino, continuing a project initiated by Calogero. The festival includes academic discussions involving experts like Camilla Miglio and Marina Valensise, focusing on the relationship between poetry and visual expression. Key themes include Calogero’s dialogue with other literary figures such as Giacomo Leopardi, explored through new publications and scholarly contributions.
