The Slovenian newspaper Večer reports on the Future 500 initiative, which identifies 100 Slovenian companies with high potential for international growth. The initiative, led by IEDC - Business School Bled in partnership with the Atlantic Council and the Blejski Strateški Forum (BSF), highlights that these companies have more than doubled their revenues over three years, growing from one billion to over two billion euros. They employ around 8,100 people and created approximately 2,400 new jobs during this period. The selected companies are primarily technology and industrial firms, with 45 from the broader technology sector and 37 from manufacturing. The initiative aims to identify future European economic leaders and provide them with conditions for global expansion. Key speakers emphasized the need for access to capital, a unified market, and stock exchange entry for these companies. Minister Anže Logar noted that Europe lacks connections between talent, knowledge, and capital, while European Investment Bank Vice President Marko Primorac pointed out that Europe has significant research and innovation capabilities but suffers from fragmented capital and slow access to funding.
