A two-year-old Bengal tiger named Kenzo died due to blood aspiration caused by hemorrhages resulting from a gunshot wound to the front part of his head. The cause of death was determined through a post-mortem examination conducted by the Department of Pathology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnology of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). According to the report, the bullet entered through the upper right eyelid area and traveled through the soft palate. Additional injuries compatible with firearm projectiles were noted, including a wound on the tail measuring 11 centimeters in length. The incident occurred during a capture operation on July 2nd in Tepetlaoxtoc, where the tiger was shot to protect one of the people involved in capturing him.
