Seven babies died in connection with home births in Finland in recent years

According to recent statistics from Finland's National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), seven infants have died in relation to planned home births between 2020 and 2025. Most of these deaths occurred between 2023 and 2025. Professor Mika Gissler noted that six of the cases involved babies who were born dead or died shortly after birth, while one infant died within a week of delivery. THL has no information on whether healthcare professionals were present during any of the births. At least four of the cases are under investigation by the current agency formerly known as Valvira.

This is the county that drinks the most beer in Finland

The article reports that Utsjoki consumes the most beer per capita in Finland, according to data from the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL). The statistics are based on sales data from 2025, provided by the Finnish Statistics and Population Register Centre. The article also notes that Hammarland on Åland consumes the least alcohol per capita. THL cautions that in smaller municipalities, alcohol consumption figures may not accurately reflect actual consumption due to factors like tourism or seasonal residents.

It cites official sources such as THL and the Finnish Statistics and Population Register Centre, and includes cautionary notes from THL regarding potential limitations in the data. There is no evident ideological slant

Why these scores (Factual 85 · Objective 70): The article accurately reports statistics from Digi- ja väestötietovirasto regarding alcohol consumption per capita in Finnish municipalities. However, it adds contextual information not present in the primary source, such as mentioning THL and noting limitations in small municipalities. The objecti

She spent her day in the Big Omen collecting bottles and sharing wisdom then she died in a shocking way

The article discusses the tragic deaths of at least 11 women in Finland who have been suspected of being killed by violent means during the current year. It highlights the disturbing nature of these cases and compiles all known information about them.

Bias read (Center): The article presents factual information about reported crimes without overtly favoring any political perspective. The focus is on compiling known details about the incidents rather than offering commentary or taking a stance on broader societal issues.
