Am Freitag, dem 15. Juni 2026, gab die Gewerkschaft Verdi bekannt, dass erneut ein Warnstreik im öffentlichen Nahverkehr in Ulm stattfinden wird. Dies war der fünfte Warnstreik seit Beginn der Tarifverhandlungen, bei denen die SWU mobil und SWU Verkehr, beide Tochterunternehmen der kommunalen Stadtwerke Ulm, betroffen sind. Die Tarifverhandlungen im öffentlichen Nahverkehr sind Teil eines größeren Streits, der sich in den letzten Monaten verstärkt hat. Die Gewerkschaft Verdi vertritt 173 Beschäftigte bei der SWU mobil und 60 bei der SWU Verkehr. Am selben Tag, an dem der Warnstreik in Ulm stattfindet, rief Verdi erneut zu bundesweiten Warnstreiken auf, wobei der Fokus auf der Möbelhauskette Ikea liegt. In mehr als der Hälfte der deutschen Ikea-Einrichtungshäuser sollen Beschäftigte am Freitag in den Arbeitskampf treten. Andere Handelsunternehmen beteiligen sich ebenfalls an der Aktion. Verdi-Bundesvorstandsmitglied Silke Zimmer kritisiert, dass im Handel trotz hoher Umsätze kaum Vorteile für die Beschäftigten entstehen. Die vorangegangenen Verhandlungen zogen sich über mehr als ein Jahr hin, und am Ende stand ein Gesamteinkommensplus von etwa 14 Prozent für die Jahre 2023 bis 2025. Die aktuelle Tarifrunde ist jedoch noch nicht abgeschlossen, und die Streiks dienen dazu, den Druck auf die Arbeitgeberseite zu erhöhen.
