On Monday, police were alerted to a brazen burglary that occurred around 11 a.m. in the area of Moravč. An unknown perpetrator approached an elderly victim at their home, pretending to offer telecommunications services. While the first suspect engaged the victim in conversation, the second suspect quietly entered the house and stole several hundred euros worth of cash and jewelry. The suspects fled the scene in a black car. Police continue to gather information about the incident. Authorities in Ljubljana warn again about burglaries in residential homes, where perpetrators use various disguises such as fake service technicians or scrap metal buyers to lure residents out of their homes. During this time, another accomplice enters the house unnoticed and steals money and valuables. Residents are advised not to let strangers into their homes, to keep a close eye on them, and to lock doors and take keys whenever leaving. They are also urged to pay attention to the appearance of individuals and the vehicle they arrive in. If they suspect a break-in or become a victim, they should immediately call emergency services at 113.
