The suspects, a 29-year-old Serbian citizen and a 60-year-old Italian citizen, were stopped on July 24th. They were transporting foreign nationals illegally into Croatia for financial compensation. Both individuals face charges related to illegal entry, movement, and residence within Croatia, another EU member state, or a Schengen agreement signatory. Following the investigation, the suspects were handed over to the prison supervisor along with the detained foreign nationals, in accordance with the Law on Foreigners and the Law on International and Temporary Protection.
