SpaceX: Starship must abort test flight before launch

A planned test flight of SpaceX's largest rocket system, Starship, was aborted shortly before launch due to some engines failing to ignite, triggering an automatic shutdown. Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, announced the incident on his platform X, noting that the next attempt is expected within a few days. This follows a previous test flight in May, which was the twelfth overall and saw some engine failures but otherwise proceeded largely as planned. The latest test involved the 'Version 3' of Starship, which includes significant design and performance improvements. The Starship is intended for missions to the Moon and Mars, with NASA planning to use it for lunar missions while SpaceX aims for eventual Mars exploration. The rocket is taller than the Statue of Liberty in New York. Recently, SpaceX completed its largest initial public offering, though its stock price has since fallen below the issue price.

Bias read (Center): The article reports on a technical failure during a SpaceX test flight without overtly criticizing or praising the company's approach. It presents the event factually, citing Elon Musk's statement and providing background on the Starship program and its goals. There is no clear ideological leaning,
