He featured in South Africa’s 1-1 draw against the Czech Republic, a 2-0 defeat to Mexico, and served as a substitute in the 1-0 victory over South Korea. Despite personal tragedy, his grandmother, Marianna, passed away the day before the Czech Republic match, Adams remained committed to representing his country. He started in that match and the subsequent loss to Mexico, demonstrating resilience and dedication. Before the World Cup, Adams contributed to Mamelodi Sundowns' triumph in the CAF Champions League. He joined the club after spending time with Stellenbosch FC.
