Slovenia's economy under the new government has been hit by a wave of optimism: sentiment is rising for the third month in a row

The Slovenian economy has shown improvement for the third consecutive month, according to the economic climate indicator released by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia. The index rose by 0.6 percentage points compared to June, reaching -0.1, and was 3.2 percentage points higher than July of last year. The most significant improvements were seen in manufacturing activities, where confidence increased by 0.8 percentage points on a monthly basis and 2.1 percentage points annually. Retail trade also saw a slight increase, while the service sector experienced a decline of 0.4 percentage points. Construction remained unchanged on a monthly basis but showed a slight annual decrease. Despite these positive trends, businesses across all sectors continue to face challenges such as uncertain economic conditions, lack of skilled labor, high labor costs, and insufficient foreign demand.
