At the World Ploughing Championship held in Grabovac, Croatia, on the Mitrovac estate, Slovenia achieved notable success through its competitors. The event featured participants from 26 countries competing in plowing contests involving both soil and ice. Matej Sinic represented Slovenia in the category of moldboard plows, finishing third on the first day and sixth on the second day, which secured him the overall victory in his category and the title of world champion. Igor Pate competed in the reversible plow category, achieving ninth place on the first day and eleventh on the second day, resulting in an eleventh-place finish overall. This marks the second medal won by Slovenian plowers at the World Championships. Tilen Vogrinčič participated as a referee.
