Singapore-based research network ADVANCE-ID has been designated as a World Health Organization (WHO) collaborating centre for clinical trials. This designation aims to enhance high-quality clinical research in the region to address current and future public health challenges. As Singapore's 13th WHO collaborating centre, ADVANCE-ID focuses on improving research ecosystems and partnering with other countries to prevent, detect, and control infectious diseases. The network specializes in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) but plans to expand its scope to other infectious disease priorities and emerging health threats. ADVANCE-ID is based at the National University of Singapore's Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health and operates under a four-year agreement until 2030.
