Family Wines is the Winemaker of 2026: a historic 100 points, two champions and a year of great success!

Puklavec Family Wines has been named Vinoteka of the Year 2026, marking one of the most successful years in its history. The winery achieved historic milestones, including receiving a perfect score of 100 points in the Vinogrozdje Slovenia Gornja Radgona 2026 evaluation, winning two champions, and securing a total of 45 medals. These accomplishments were recognized both nationally and internationally, with notable success at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2026, where the winery was named the most successful Slovenian wine estate. The achievement came after a series of outstanding results throughout the year. At the 52nd National Wine Evaluation Vinogrozdje Slovenia Gornja Radgona 2026, Puklavec Family Wines earned its first-ever perfect score of 100 points, along with two champion titles, three large gold medals, and a total of 45 awards. This performance set a new benchmark for the winery, highlighting the exceptional quality of its wines produced in the Jeruzalem-Ormoz Mountains region. Among the standout wines was the Laški Rizling Pozna Trgatev 1993, which received the perfect score of 100 points and a gold medal. It also won a bronze medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2026. The wine’s excellence was further acknowledged at the international level, where it secured a platinum medal. This recognition underscores the long-term dedication of the winery to producing high-quality wines that stand out globally. The success of the winery in 2026 was celebrated by its leadership team. Tatjana Puklavec, owner of Puklavec Family Wines, expressed pride in the achievements, stating that they reflect the commitment of the entire team to creating wines of the highest quality in Slovenia. She emphasized that the recognition is a result of collective effort and passion. Gorazd Bedenčič, director of Puklavec Family Wines, noted that the title of Vinoteka of the Year is a tribute to the people behind the success, grape growers, cellar workers, enologists, and all other contributors who demonstrate that wines from the Prlekija region can achieve world-class standards. He added that this milestone serves as a foundation for future growth and continued progress. Luka Radiček, head enologist at Puklavec Family Wines, concluded that the two champions, numerous medals, and the Vinoteka of the Year designation represent professional validation of their path. He described these results as motivation to remain curious, explore new opportunities, and take steps forward each year. The 2026 evaluations at Vinogrozdje Slovenia Gornja Radgona included several key highlights. Two champion titles were awarded to Estate Selection Rumeni Muškat 2025 and Jeruzalem Ormoz Sec. Three large gold medals went to Laški Rizling Pozna Trgatev 1993, Chardonnay Pozna Trgatev 2003, and Sauvignon 1983. In addition, the winery received 15 gold medals and 25 silver medals. At the Decanter World Wine Awards 2026, Puklavec Family Wines added to its accolades by earning a gold medal for Seven Numbers Brut 2019, alongside two silver medals for Seven Numbers Furmint 2024 and Seven Numbers Šipon Penino 2022, and two bronze medals. These results solidify the winery's position as a leading producer of premium wines in Slovenia.
